About

Dylan Erdelyi is a theater artist creating immersive, psychological, and world-driven experiences. He aims to place audiences inside the architecture of the mind to explore challenging human dilemmas. His work uses heightened realism and tactile environments to mine the raw emotional core of memory and identity. He is interested in immersive and site-specific theater as a means to grow human connection within the work, and especially interested in lessening hierarchies of power between artist and audience. He presented his original research Effects of immersive theatre on audience agency and engagement at the American Psychological Association's annual conference.

Dylan is also a creative producer and arts manager with five years of experience across live-performance leadership and executive arts administration. He is fluent across the full arc of theatrical production, from dramaturgical development and creative vision to contract management, budgeting, and stakeholder relations. Dylan's work is grounded in experience at nonprofit and commercial theatrical institutions from Disney to the Metropolitan Opera. After receiving his BFA in Musical Theatre at Rider University, he completed a Lead for America fellowship at Princeton University, where he worked with the Program for Community-Engaged Scholarship to push back on local inequities and strengthen arts infrastructure as a community resource.
